Six Flags Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia is located in Austell, just west of Atlanta. It is a 230 acre amusement theme park that was built in 1967. The Georgia Six Flags location was the second built after the first location in Texas. The Six Flags name has an odd origin in that it was named after the six different flags that flew over Texas. In the early years the Georgia Six Flags location had many Georgia and Southern themes but in recent years the Six Flags in Georgia has used Warner Brothers and Superhero themes.
