Newnan Georgia
When you are in Newnan, be sure to make time to visit the Coweta County
Courthouse. First built in 1829 by Captain W.H. Hitchcock, it served as
a hospital during the Civil War. The building's Neoclassical Revival architectural
structure has a dome that that is more than 100 feet above the court square.

Newnan has experienced rapid growth in the last fifteen years and has grown from a small Southern town into a modern suburb. The heart of Newnan is still intact while being open enough to provide all the modern conveniences one would want. The rapid growth does however pose a serious threat the the soul of this beautiful Southern city. If the rapid growth isn't curtailed immediately Newnan will suffer the fate of other once great towns in the Atlanta area that have been lost to over-development.
