the original colonies and has a long history both before and after the
European invasion. Georgia was named after King George II of England but
the roots of Georgia's culture are not exclusive to England. In fact,

German, French, and other cultures including the British. Georgia is proud
to hold the Okefenokee Swamp that covers over 400,000 acres and also the
first state chartered school - The University of Georgia. There are many
